Terms of service

You need to be 18 or older to create an account and pay for a subscription. The pet on the tag can be any age. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure — anyone with magic-link access to it can manage your pets.

• BagBeacon is a subscription. Plans are billed monthly or annually, in your selected currency (GBP or USD), with VAT/sales tax applied where required.
• We charge per active bag. Adding a bag pro-rates the next invoice up; removing a bag issues a pro-rated credit toward the next invoice.
• Subscriptions are billed from day one — there is no free trial. Cancel any time and your tag keeps working until the end of the period you've already paid for.
• Cancel from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — your tags keep working until then.

If you remove a pet mid-period you will continue to receive the service until the end of your paid-for billing period. If something goes obviously wrong on our end (double-billing, prolonged outage), email us and we'll make it right.

• Real pets only. No tagging humans, packages, or property.
• No using BagBeacon to harass, stalk, or threaten anyone — including via the finder messages on a scan page.
• No probing, scraping, or stress-testing the service without our written permission.
• Keep your contact details accurate so the alerts actually reach you.

BagBeacon is a best-effort tool to help finders and owners reach each other quickly. It's not a guarantee, a tracking device, or a replacement for a vet-implanted microchip. If your pet goes missing, please also follow your local council and rescue organisations' lost-pet processes.

We provide the service "as is" without implied warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of BagBeacon is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months.

You can delete your account at any time from settings — that's immediate and removes your pets, contacts, and scans. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; we'll tell you why when we can.

We may update these terms — when we do we'll bump the "last updated" date at the top, and email you if the change is material.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, except that nothing limits any rights you have under your local consumer protection law.
